2,4-Dichlorophenyltriazolylethan-ones (-ols) have the following formula IMAGE in which A represents a keto group or a CH(OH) group, X represents halogen, alkyl or optionally substituted phenyl and n represents integers from 0 to 3. The compounds may also be present as salts. Fungicides contain as the active component a compound of the formula I or a physiologically tolerated salt thereof. Processes for preparing the new compounds of the formula I are described.
