Shuttle positioner and transporter in a multiple feed loom - lining up shuttle accurately in and out of the shed

The stationary guide for the endless shuttle conveying chain of a multiple feed loom, has on the outer faces of its straight and curved sections a side wall acting as a guide for the side face of the shuttle. In the curved sections, the side wall has an inverted "L"-section, the one end of which is bolted to the guide whilst the free end is turned towards the shuttle. The side face of the shuttle has a curved groove with which the free end of the side wall engages during motion along the curved sections of the guide. Simple design controlling the positioning and guiding of the shuttles throughout their motion. Easily accessible, reducing risk of breakdowns.
