The coating provides increased brilliance, light fastness, and weathering and scratch resistance, and may be coloured and incorporate ultra-violet absorbers. The coating may be coloured with dark pigment having high absorption of visible light, together with high infra-red reflectance, e.g. black pigments Sb 2 S 3 and Sb 2 S 3 -Sb 2 (SO 4 ) 3 . The methyl methacrylate is preferably of molecular weight of 120,000 to 180,000, and the coating thickness preferably 0À1 to 1 mm.
