Inoperation, this manipulating and massaging apparatus moves backand forth in this opening to contact the patient's body atpredetermined pressures. This reciprocable movement may be sub-stantially the length of the opening to permit the manipulatingand massaging to extend from a patient's hips to his shoulders.A lesser reciprocable movement, which is a selected incrementwithin this overall range of movement, is effected by adjustablestops for the manipulating and massaging apparatus which actagainst limit switches carried by the reciprocating manipulatingand massaging apparatus. When the limit switch on the apparatuscontacts a stop, the drive of the apparatus reverses, to reverseits movement.
