Impact fuse for projectile - has nose tip radius smaller than normal rain drop size to prevent premature operation by rain drop

The impact fuse for projectiles has safety system for transporting, loading and safety whilst loaded into the barrel. The firing pin is covered by a projection cap on fused nose. The cap tip radius is smaller than diameter of a normal raindr rop. This arrangement protects the fuse against inadvertent initiation by the raind rops. The fuse arrangement ensures reliable initation when it hits target even under acute angle and on hitting targets of low strength. - The cross section area of the firing pin holding bore (6) projecting up to the projectile tip (5) is smaller than the cross section are of the normal raind rop (8). The conical nose (1) bore has firing pin (2) resting against spring (3). The wall at the nose tip is thin and covers the firing pin head (4) against the atmosphere. The thin wall (7) is able to withstand the impact energy of the raind rop without deformation.
