The received signal consists of a carrier signal whose phase is keyed by the periodic time function representing the binary coded signal, and a possibly present interference carrier. The received signal is demodulated by the address code generated in the receiver, and by the oscillator frequency. The received signal mixed in a first multiplier is further mixed in a second multiplier with a signal train whose polarity changes statistically with the signal beat derived from the address generator, and the interference carrier is modulated with the signal train; the period of the signal train is a multiple of that of the signal beat.
