Regulating valve for pass out steam turbine - has double seat body with operating cylinder mounted on lantern ring or outside of casing

A pass out turbine has a regulating valve (28) with a seal formed integrally with the stator blade guide ring. The valve body is of the double seat (30, 32) type. The valve spindle is made in two sections (28, 34) and the outer section is taken through the turbine casing (11) through a steam tight gland (52). The gland runs through the base of a lantern ring (36) which is bolted to the casing. The valve actuating cylinder (38) is mounted on the outer end of the lantern ring.
