Coiled, two-component endless textile fibres, in which the two components run continuously along the length of the fibre and adhere to one another, consist of (A) a fibre-forming polyamide with m.pt. 180-280 degrees C, which can be melt spun, and (B) a modified urethane elastomer which is the reaction prod. of (1) a polymeric glycol with mol. wt. 800-3000, (2) a polyisocyanate and (3) a chain-extender, modified with (4) 0.1-5 wt. % of a polyimido cpd. of formula (a) R1-X1-NH-Y-NH-X2-R2, (b) R1-NH-X1-Y-X2-NH-R2, (c) R1-O-C-NH-Y-NC-C-O-R2, (d) R1-NH-C-O-Y-O-C-NH-R2, or (e) R1-NH-C-NH-Y-NH-C-R2, where R1 and R2 are 1-24 C aliphatic residues with is not 3 C=C bonds, an alicyclic residue of an aromatic residue, X1 and X2 are carbonyl or sulphonyl residues, Y is an organic residue, free from reactive substits., and the number of CH2 gps. in the residues R1, R2 and Y is not 9. The fibre can be rolled up within a fraction of a second after extrusion, and can be unrolled again without the fibres adhering to one another. The additive does not interfere with polymerisation. It does not cause caking in the screw-extruder.
