Device for control of the electrolytic simple heritage process of anodic oxide layers

The dying operation in an Eloxal colour anodizing process is controlled by measuring the thickness of the coloured layer on the workpiece continuously within the bath by a photo-diode and a photo-transistor used as transmitter. The light flashes from the photodiode are reflected by the workpiece and their reflections are received from the phototransistor. The output of the latter is transmitted to a processor (a measuring instrument or an amplifier). When a set thickness of coloured layer is reached, the supply rectifier is automatically switched off.
