The pens are separated by vertical hollow-tubutlar posts, to the exit side of which is fixed a tubular locking bar. Each vertical post is welded to a horizontal tubular support on which pivots each locking bar. Each horizontal support is joined to the vertical post on the exit side by means of a boundary piece. The horizontal support and the hinge are positioned beneath the cow's body height. Above the cow, the locking bars are moved in the same direction by means of two horizontal guide-rails. Between the guide-rails are stop-pieces. All the locking-bars are joined by a cable passing over a pulley which has stop-pieces on it corresponding to the hinge-points of the locking bars.
