Grape-vine staking machine - erects the drooping vines by means of two slanting planes, and at the same time threading through wires or strings

The two arms of the machine each have a slanting plane at the bottom. Compression springs lead over the arms and keep the slanting planes close the vines. The downward-drooping vines are lifted by the planes and kept upright. A continuous thread which unwinds through several eyes from spools on the left and right hand sides has one end fastened to a post, and the threads are held in palce by clamps. A lever is rotated by roughly ninety degrees from its centre point by means of a hydraulic cylinder, for clamping. The pivot arms pivot together, and after the lever has moved, return by roughly ninety degrees to their position. One pivot arms has a clamping-device, like a stapler, at the bottom.
