A coupling is used to transmit torque between two shafts which are parallel but not coaxial. The coupling has a spur gear which is attached to the input shaft, and it is in mesh with a spur gear wheel which is attached to a coupling flange. The flange is concentric with the output shaft and a second coupling flange has a concentric location on the output shaft. Each flange has three equally spaced axial lugs which overlap one another. They are connected by chain link type hinge plates. This produces a coupling which is axially and radially flexible.
