Component for electric plug connector - has contact strips with curved tracks forming integral part of bush in socket

The component for an electric plug connector, such as a jack, has a spring-loaded contact surface. The contact strips are formed as an integral part of a contact bush (2) forming a series of curved tracks (5). The bush is made froma flexible material and can be plugged into a socket (1). The contact surface is made from a gold-plated beryllium-copper alloy. The support is encased in an insulated material withn an internal shape which is designed to engage the contact bush. The contact piece (6) is an integral part of the support. This type of plug connector is suitable for mass production, in which stamping may form the major processing step.
