A sewage treatment plant consists of a lined basin with a conical bottom which terminates in a sludge pit. A concentric arrangement of a bell, surrounded by spherical segments above the bottom centre divides the space of the basin into an aeration space, a preclarification space and a final clarification space. This plant has a compact design. It combines low cost of installation with functional reliability and savings in power consumption.
