The transformers core sections are C shaped or U shaped. The sections are coated, shaped and annealed and glued together without any air gaps being produced at the joints. The sheet strips (1) are mounted on top of each other and the zig-zag shape is produced by shaping rollers. This will produce several transformer core halves (5, 7, 9, 11, 13). The existing zig-zag strips are then annealed. The individual stamping are then glued together in the conventional manner. The zig-zag length is then sawn along the axis to produce a larger number of individual transformer core halves. They are then milled to produce a smooth surface.
