The system is for production of three dimensional images using objects transmission illuminated, or illuminated by X or Y rays, in which coding apertures are used to produce shadow type images, from which the effect image is eventually reconstructed by optical and/or electronic methods, has two shadow images produced using two coding apertures which are set at specific phase angles to one another. The shadow images are then reconstructed using similar phase angle separation such that only a real image or only a virtual image of the original object exposed is produced.
