The structural steel mesh, for reinforcement of statically or dynamically stressed concrete building components, is made up from interconnected lengthways and transverse rods. It is designed to be durable and retentative of its shape during transport and laying, though simple and inexpensive. The rods (1, 2), running one or both ways, are made up from two or more wires twisted together. These rods may incorporate holes for the rods running the other way to pass through, pref. formed by bends in the twisted wires. The transverse rods may be clamped in holes in the lengthways ones, or vice-versa. The wires may be of different diameters.
