摘要
The process uses two leno and two standing threads. One leno and one standing thread are used successively in pairs to form the selvage threads and are passed through guide eyes. The selvage is formed in cycles by moving the leno and standing threads in opposite directions to form a shed and moving each leno thread to one side away from its standing thread, and a shuttle passing through the weft. The shed is then reversed from the weft to pass through. The process is repeated so that the leno threads are alternated in their motion so that the leno thread of one pair crosses over the standing thread of the other pair. The process ensures that a smooth selvage is developed for the leno weave, the selvages being firmly bonded without becoming loose.
