Hardenable adhesive bonded assembly - in which an initial heat treatment is applied before assembly and further heating after assembly

Assemblies useful in motor vehicle body construction and consisting of individual parts are made by applying a gel forming, hardenable adhesive to the individual parts and assembling the individual parts. Heat is applied in a first heating stage before assembly and then again after assembly. The pref. adhesive is a PVC plastisol. There is no need to heat the whole assembly to the adhesive gel temp.
