Swimming pool algae detector - has floating rubber attachment receiving first deposit of forming algae

The algae detector is used to detect the formation of algae in swimming pool water. It is essential to keep the water of swimming-pools free of algae which cause clouding of the water and make the walls of the swimming-pool slippery. A piece of neoprene (RTM) rubber of square section is glued to a floating sphere. A PVC rod is pushed throughthis piece of rubber and has a bore at the bottom end. The detector is fastened to any point of the swimming-pool by a cord at this bore. As the algae begins to form in the water they are first deposited on the special rubber before clouding is noticeable.
