A Pb-Sb alloy for grid plates of lead batteries contains Sb in amt. 1% As and Te as alloying elements, and 0.005-0.05% Se. The addn. of Se improves the casting properties so that cact grid plates and lugs are free of defects. Used for grid plates, lugs and connecting straps of lead batteries.
