Trellis array with similar square portions - is formed by straight rods with triangular, trapezoidal or rectangular pegs mating with corresponding cutouts on adjacent rod
The trellis work consists of a number of crossed rods (1, 2) forming a rectangular pattern. The rods themselves may have triangular-trapezium shaped or rectangular projections which mate with similar members on the adjacent rods. Along the edges of the trellis, flat sides of the rods face outwards to form a smooth framework on the outside. The completed assembly forms an array of similar squares in an oblong frame. Each cut-out and peg joint typically has two similar joints so that the final assembly combines cheapness with rigidity.
