The amplifier output current is voltage controlled. The amplifier has control transistors whose collectors are connected to bases of output transistors. Collectors of the latter are joined together and drive a deflection coil current. A part of voltage at the junction point (a) of the output transistors (Q3, Q4) collectors is fed back to the driver stage. A differentiating stage (9, 10) is in parallel to the signal circuit (1), so that the differentiating stage output signal is added to the input signal (UEO). This adjusts the amplitude in order to compensate the amplifier time lag.
