Windscreen wiper blade mounting - has flexible plastics coupling piece with aperture to receive pivot pin and channel to receive wiper arm hook

The wiper arm is provided with hooked end to grip around a pivot pin located between two shoulders of a wiper blade bracket. A coupling piece (16) is fitted between the hooked end and the pivot pin to afford a secure and easily attachable connection. The coupling piece is of flexible plastics andprivided with an aperture (20) to receive the pivot pin. The coupling piece is 'U' shaped with side faces (31, 32) extending over the bend section to form a channel to receive the wiper arm hook. The coupling piece is secured by projections (34, 35) attached by hinge strips (37) to the side faces close to the hook bend.
