Glass, metal or platic container for chemicals or pharmaceutical preparations includes a selectively open or closed safety closure positioned on the container neck. The safety closure consists of a closure cap attached to and embracing the container neck. Rotatably joined with the closure cap is a non detachable safety ring which is projecting over the opening of the closure cap towards the container. The safety ring is provided on its part projecting over the closure cap with one or pref. more radial inwards facing projections. The container neck has a circumferential ring projection provided with slots corresponding in spacing and number to the radial projections of the safety ring. When the safety closure is removed from the container neck the radial projections of the safety ring pass through the slots of the ring projections on the container neck.
