Beginning and end of time intervals is marked by switching processes. The system has a clock generating clock pulses and a group of counters, of which these measure a time interval receive clock pulses and count them. A display unit displays the counting counters and a programming unit is controlled by a perforated tape, and in turn switches the system different modes of operation. Days of the week are recorded on the perforated tape in a coded form. The programming unit (11) tape reading head (5) is connected to a store (6) with a decoder (7) controlling the display units (8). Store (6) and decoder (7) controlled by the perforated tape, cyclically operate every day a different display unit (8).
