An alarm system to secure windows uses a roller blind with inlaid fine wires that form a closed circuit alarm circuit. The roller blind is fitted accurately into the window opening and is produced from textile with fine wires located laterally at fixed distances along the length. An electronic alarm circuit (ESZ) is located within the room and separate closed loops made to each blind (R1, R2, R3). The alarm circuit is supplied by either a transformer coupled to the mains (T) or from an emergency battery supply (N), that cuts in the event of a power failure.
