The suction hose is for a vacuum cleaner with a inner tube and a flexible outer casing, and electrical leads fitted between the tube and the casing. The electrical lead (3) runs in windings which, in relation to a line parallel to the hose axis, alternatively are counterposed to each other. The electrical lead may run in a serrated form or a wavey line, and at least some windings can cros over with straight line sections. It can have at least three wires encased in a common insulation or each wire can have its individual insulation. The lead can be a profiled cable, with a convex surface for contact with the hose casing (2).
