New non-bloody method is for measuring the gas concn. in venous mixed blood, partic. the difference in the oxygen content of arterial and venous blood. The respiration gas curve is taken by measuring three fixed points on it or the areas between them. The measurement of the CO2 concn. by an analyser is triggered by an O2 analyser reaching three predetermined equally spaced thresholds. The formulae stated in the Patent can then be evaluated by a computer of the analogue type. This provides simple and reliable evaluations of the desired parameters. It does not require the availability of a data processing plant with a large computer.
