Indicator for kWh meter - with two counting mechanisms for twin tariff operation using electromagnetic step switching and pulse generator

Indicator is for a kWh-meter with tariff mechanism having two roller counters arranged one above the other, one of which continuously indicates the meter reading whilst the other is a tariff indicator. The first roller counter is coupled continuously to the meter rotor by a set of gears (6-9). The other roller counter is operated by an electromagnetic step switching mechanism controlled either directly or indirectly by a pulse generator which converts the roller revolutions. Pref. the step switching mechanism has a switching lever operated by an electromagnetic actuator. The lever is fitted with a pawl which engages with a ratchet mounted on the first wheel in the second roller counter.
