摘要
The process for glueing continuously forwarded foil sheets or veneers onto wooden panel-shaped workpieces, with prehating of workpiece surfaces, involves simultaneous application of glue with thinner to the workpiece and to the foil or veneer, bringing thw coated and heated surface together and pressing the foil or veneer onto the workpiece. The glue is a polyvinyl-acetate, heated to softening temp. (150 degrees C) after evaporation of the thinner medium at approx. 100 degrees C and complete drying; this is done before the workpieces are joined together. Previously glued foil strips may be used for the edge material. Optimal glueing is achieved, with overall adhesion ensured even where workpieces have a rough surface. Continuous high-speed operation is practicable.
