The vehicle floor mat consists of several layers (2) held in a surrounding keeper frame (1). The upper mat layer may be removed as it becomes soiled or worn out. The remains mat layers continue to be used as floor mat. This gives considerable saving of time since the upper mat layer is simply removed in order to clean the vehicle floor.
