摘要
The method for measuring thermal output from heating systems is designed to reduce metering error and to simplify the mechanism of the flowmeter and counter. To enable the impeller of the heat counter to run continuously at a predetermined basic speed when radiator valves are closed, a by-pass is fitted beyond the meter through which the heated medium, e.g. water, may flow. The flowmeter impeller will then run continuously and can provide a source of energy to run the actual thermal meter mechanism without the need for a separate power supply. As the calculated heat output is determined from flow rate and temp. difference, no additional error is introduced by the continuously running flowmeter since, with closed radiator valves, there is no temp. difference between flow and return pipes.
