Energy consumption reduction system controls operational state of number of controllable system consumes ech selectively connected to energy supply. The system comprises a program controlled computer with a central processing unit connected to a working storage. For each consumer, the working storage has storage positions for the data and the state of the associated consumer. A number of controlled switching elements selectively connect and disconnect the controllable system consumer to or from the energy supply. A conrol stage responds to the signals generated by the computer to control the state of each controlled switching element.
