The track chain for a tracked vehicle has links connected with each other so that they can pivot, the links having elastic running pads. Each link has two lateral chain pins arranged transverse to the running direction. The ends of these pins project freely from the chain links. Every two pin ends of adjacent chain links are coupled by an end connector. The end connectors (14) are also fitted with pads (22) whose surface (28) partly overlaps the runner pad face (26) of the adjacent chain link (1) in the running direction. The chain links (1) have side projections (4) which extend transverse to the running direction between the end connectors (14).
