Aircraft with multiple lift surfaces - has jet engine in nose to augment air flow and retractable rotary wings giving VSTOL capability

The aircraft has flap-controlled air intake openings near the nose of its fuselage. Air discharge openings are provided along top and sides, and at the tail. Two jet engines inside the nose augment the flow over several internal lift surfaces with flaps for takeoff/landing. Together with the main propulsion units, mounted in pairs in echelon on mid-fuselage stub wings, these jets provide power for normal flight. For VSTOL, additional lift is provided by three rotary wings above the fuselage, retracting into the latter when not in use. Normal control surfaces are fitted at the tail.
