摘要
The contrarotating axial flow turbine has concentric shafts (10, 23) connected respectively to a rotor (9) and a casing (8), both stepped and fitted to carry roes of radial blades, alternatingly. Blade length increases progressively towards the (banjo-type) exhaust header (22). At this end also is the main bearing block assembly (4, 6) supporting both shafts. A bearing (5) houses inside the working fluid inlet block supports the other end of the inner shaft; the outershaft-casing assembly has roller-type supports (4') and an extension sleeve bearing on a journal surface (7) on the outside of the working fluid inlet duct (3). Working fluid flow is controlled by a rotary slide valve (16) in the inelt block, upstream of the nozzles (14).
