The saw has all the blade fittings mounted behind the saw blade to overcome the disadvantages that protruding fittings cause when cutting. The saw blade (15) is fixed to an annular collar (18) on a boss (28) by countersunk screws (16), a central hole fitting over the boss hub (22). The boss is in turn bolted (25) on to the shaft (32) of the motor (1), the bolt fitting into a central recess (33). Both the boss and the blade are detachable. A guard plate (2) supports a tube (9), the outer edge of which is slightly behind the saw blade, which has a radial orifice (12) which dispenses cooling liquid onto the outer face of the saw blade.
