Plastic film package with covering film, for liquids, e.g., milk, citrus juices and engine oil, comprises a rectangular stand surface consisting of a deep-drawn film, pref. of nylon or polyethylene, forming the bottom surface, an obliquely upwardly extending rear surface and two side surfaces. A flat covering film forms the front surface, pref. of Al foil or polyethylene film. The deep-drawn film has an outwardly projecting peripheral flat edge which is bonded to the covering film by adhesion or welding. When the package is stood up, the covering film is vertical so as to be readily visible to the buyer and bears print applied before the covering film is attached to the body of the package.
