The flame duct (6) is intended for a combustion engine running on mixture having a pre-combustion chamber (3) with fuel injection nozzle (4) and sparking plug (5) whereby the duct (6) connects the chamber (3) with the main combustion chamber (3) with the main combustion chamber (2). The duct (6) consists of two portions (7, 10) at an anglel relative to one another. The centre line of the first portion (7) coincides with that (8) of the fuel jet from the injector, whilst the centre line (11) of the second portion (10) is directed at, or approximately at, the centre of gravity (X) of the mixture-filled volume of the cylinder when the piston is at TDC.
