The oil burner has bruner head with an atomising nozzle enclosed concentrically by an annular slot nozzle for supplying combustion air. The burner is ignited and the combustion continues with full blower performances without changes. A flame stabilising plate is not needed. The outside wall of the burner head (1) has two concentric annular spaces (6, 8) separated from the combustion chamber. These annular spaces project into the combustion chamber and they are connected at their front ends (7). The outside chamber (6) carries combustion air which is deflected at the front end through the internal annular space (8) into a straightener chamber (9) between a stop plug (4) and the burner body (12, 17) for entering from there into the nozzle with annular slots.
