The inverter transformer has a primary winding and at least two secondary windings for generation of several output voltages. Two d.c. voltages of different polarities with a common reference point are derived from the transformer (U) one of the secondary windings or from an additional tertiary winding (V). The sum d.c. voltage is applied to a voltage divider (R2, V2) whose tapping is connected to control electrode of an SC switch (V3) whose switching path is in parallel with the control path of the inverter transistor (VI).
