Price identification disc for supermarket goods - has cover disc held with rivet that is removed with special tool

An identification disc with price details for supermarket goods is designed to prevent pilfering. A preformed disc (2) with price and identification details is secured to an article (1) by a number of small rivets (7). A cover disc (3) is located on top and is held in position by a central rivet (9) of thermoplastic materials. At the checkout point a special purpose tool e.g. soldering iron, is inserted into the disc to melt the plastic rivet to allow removal of the top disc. The details are then entered into a calculator.
