A digital network calculates the integral of a dependent variable wrt an independent one. Both variables are presented in incremental form and the network accommodates increments of both polarities in the case of each variable. Increments of the dependent variable are fed to an updown counter (10) which, in turn, feeds a storage register (20). The serial output of this is fed to an AND gate (24) together with the serial output of an independent variable (X) increment register (22). The output of this is fed to a dual register (28, 34) feedback log arrangement which calculates increments of the required integral (Z) and stores the accumulated integral in a further register (40).
