Tufted carpets passed through printing coating stations - are transversely regulated by scanning patterns on the carpets made readable by inks strips

Tufted carpets provided with a pattern are transversely regulated during their processing so that the pattern is used for scanning of the correct transverse alignment. Plant which includes a pattern producing station, fixer, washing and drying station, is provided with a sensing device which is arranged in front of the drying station. Sensing device actuates a transverse regulator correcting device. Pattern can be made readable by the sensing means by identifying it with a white strip, signalling or code ink or by deposition of metallic powder.
