The socket holds a fusible insert and it has a bottom contact strip for one end of the fuse. There is a connecting element for its other end. The part of the contact strip (40) inside the socket (12) has at least one longitudinal slot (48, 50) area bent part of the strip in the slot (48, 50) area bent outwards, projecting beyond the strip edge (52, 54). The socket has recesses (62, 64 or 62a, 64a) into which the bent projecting parts of the strip enter and hold it in position.
