Self-propelled harvesting machine especially for sugar cane where rotor blades and chopper rollers can be adjusted in height relative to the harvesting machine chassis. Behind these is an inclined conveyor in a inclined conveyor channel. The rotor blades (9) and the chopper rollers can be pivoted about a pivot shaft (5) supported in the harvesting machine. The distance of the pivot shaft (5) from the rotor blades (9) is much greater than the distance of the rotor blades (9) from the ground during cutting. The rotor blades (9) and the chopper rollers (10) from one unit with the inclined conveyor (11).
