Leakage indication for centre packing of piston pumps for determining liquid plastics of multiple components uses two centre packings which are installed at a distance from each other. The outer cylinder is provided with bores. Material escaping between the packings is rendered visible and wear and tear of the packing is thus indicated. Wear and tear of the centre packing is controlled without the necessity of dismounting the pumps. It becomes visible from the outside by means of the bores in the outer cylinder and thus any incorrect determination of the liquid plastics is prevented.
