The construction of a knitted fabric in a wrap-over pattern, for use in undergarments, incorporates a stretch yarn such as of polyurethane elastomer with the material's non-stretch yarns of continuous yarns of natural, regenerated or fully synthetic fibres. System increases the stretch of prodn-line fabrics by 200%, from 2 X 21 cm to 2 X 65 cm tubular width.
