The piezoelectric element (Q) is connected in parallel with an amplifier (A). The amplifier has the usual set of terminals and there is at least one transistor and a bias voltage source fixing the value of the electrode potential d.c. component. The amplifier has a decoupling device which is able to prevent change in the DC component due to leakage which can appear between input and output terminals and the supply terminals. The amplifier includes a MOST connected to a current source.
